Coffee: How to Enjoy It without Negative Effects on Health & Skin

Cup of Coffee Health Skin
Can a cup of coffee wreck your health & skin? It depends.

While there is only One Ultimate Truth, in the world of form there are countless expressions, interactions, and connections. And quantity and quality matter, a lot. For example, too much of a good thing can be bad. But a little of a bad thing can be good. Latter is the basic principle of homeopathy.

So when it comes to coffee (or anything else), it is all about quantity and quality.

How to Enjoy Coffee
Without Negative Effects on Health & Skin

We all know that coffee stimulates the nervous system which can affect your body in numerous ways. What you might not know is that coffee (like alcohol) is processed in the liver, then acts as diuretic. And diuretics dehydrate the body tissues and skin, which in turn leads to wrinkles and premature aging.

Limit your coffee intake to one, maximum two cups a day. Choose a good quality (organic) coffee, because not all coffee beans are created equal. Add no sugar and no dairy -both of which may affect your gut flora negatively. Also, since coffee is a dehydrator, have a glass of water with it.

According to Gary Goldenberg, a cosmetic dermatologist in NYC, a good cup of organic brew has been shown to be beneficial for the skin because of its antioxidant properties.
